A bona fide poem from yours truly :)

PHEW!
it's finally done! Been working on this for a few weeks... finally feel like it is okay to post ;)
so here it is.... a bona fide poem by yours truly :)

So what, she walked.

By: Kirena Allen

"She didn't always walk.

Once upon a naive time,
Life was simple- easy to define.
There was no need to walk.

A girl lived on, happy and free.
Clouds came, but still she could see.
Rarely she walked.

The girl matured, and as it tends to do,
Life got complicated, problems grew.
To fix it, she walked.

Time passed, and as it floated by,
The girl realized something she couldn't deny.
With anticipation, waiting for a reply,
She decided to walk.

Moments of joy, times she'll never forget.
The things that happened neither will regret.
Saying goodbye, the girl walked.

Dropping subtle hints and tiny clues,
Accept to see them, should you choose,
But still she walked.

A simple glance in the reflection shows
A woman's face hiding the girl she knows;
So she turned and walked.

Shut her ears and seal those eyes
To all the lucky lovers who frequently sigh
Telling herself she isn't jealous is a lie.
Blindly, she walked.

Barricaded in her upgraded cell,
Full of flashbacks, her own personal Hell,
The girl walked.

All thoughts act like a trail of crumbs
Taking her back, the cycle has just begun.
Remembering, again, she walked.

She finds herself curled up in the tub,
A heart left beating, full of love.
She soon walked.

Selfish thoughts seem to taint her mind.
A prayer escapes to leave it all behind,
And she walked.

An empty box steals the patience she lacks.
A plagiarized message makes it impossible to relax.
To find comfort, she walked.

Then, a bright start, a brand new day,
A change of mind, a fresh bouquet...
Smiling, she walked.

She understands it won't be the same.
It's all a part of the complicated game.
Just a lock of memories all tied to one name.
While whispering, she walked.

A glimmer of light just up ahead.
Hopeful, yet scared, letting go of what was dead.
She'll never forget the things that were said.
And so, the girl walked."

p.s. life is beautiful <3
